1 Heat the oven to 180°C (160° fan) 350°F gas 4. Grease a loaf tin.
2 Beat the butter and sugar in a mixing bowl until light and fluffy. Add the vanilla and eggs, beating the mixture thoroughly.
3 Mix together the dry ingredients and stir into the egg mixture. Add the sultanas, pecans and mashed bananas and mix thoroughly.
4 Spoon into the loaf tin and bake for about 1 hour. Insert a skewer into the cake - it should come out clean. Cool in the tin for 10 minutes, then place on a wire rack to cool.
