Spiced Banana and Pecan Loaf Cake

Heat the oven to 180°C (160° fan) 350°F gas 4. Grease a loaf tin.
Beat the butter and sugar in a mixing bowl until light and fluffy. Add the vanilla and eggs, beating the mixture thoroughly.
Mix together the dry ingredients and stir into the egg mixture. Add the sultanas, pecans and mashed bananas and mix thoroughly.
Spoon into the loaf tin and bake for about 1 hour. Insert a skewer into the cake - it should come out clean. Cool in the tin for 10 minutes, then place on a wire rack to cool.
