1 Tbsp olive oil
200 grams pureed Tomatoes
3 Tbsps Ketchup
1 tsp Basil pesto

250 grams Cherry tomatoes
1 bunch Basil

Preparation steps

Preheat the oven to 200°C (approximately 400°F).

Cook spaghetti in plenty of boiling salted water according to package instructions until al dente.

Meanwhile, peel the garlic and the onion, chop and sauté together in oil. Add pureed tomatoes and bring to a boil. Add ketchup, pesto and pepper, then puree finely. Place the cherry tomatoes on a baking sheet and bake at 200°C (approximately 400°F) until the skins start to burst. Rinse the basil, shake dry, pluck off the leaves and cut into strips.

Drain the spaghetti and mix with the sauce and half of the basil. Spread on warmed plates and garnish with the remaining basil. Top with the cherry tomatoes and serve immediately.
