- 400 grams Spaghetti
- 600 grams Cherry tomatoes
- 2 onions
- 3 garlic cloves
- ½ bunch Basil
- 50 milliliters olive oil
- salt
- peppers
- ½ tsp sugar
- 100 milliliters Vegetable broth
- 4 Tbsps Parmesan (grated.)

Preparation steps

Cook the spaghetti in boiling salted water according to the package directions until al dente. Rinse and halve the onions. Peel and finely dice the garlic and onions. Heat the oil in a pan, and sauté the onion and garlic until soft. Mix in the tomatoes, sprinkle with the sugar, and pour in the vegetable broth. Reduce the heat, and simmer gently for 5 minutes. Rinse and dry the basil. Coarsely chop the leaves, then add into the sauce.

Drain the pasta, and transfer to plates. Top with the sauce, garnish with the parmesan cheese, and serve.
