This delicious classic sandwhich might be high in calories but is packed with satiating protein.
Replace the standard white bun with a whole wheat bun for added fiber.

- 63 ozs Pork shoulder
- 6 whole cloves
- 3 Tbsps salt
- 2 tsps cracked Black pepper
- 1 Tbsp smoked paprika
- 1 Tbsp liquid smoke
- 2 Red onions (thinly sliced)
- 2 cups water
- 2 cups Barbecue sauce
Preparation steps
1.
Stud the roast with cloves and rub with salt, pepper, paprika and liquid smoke.

Place roast in crock pot or slow cooker and top with onions. Cover roast with water and slow cook for 8 hours.

Remove pork, discard cloves and layer of fat as well as any water and grease remaining in pot.
4.
When pork is cool enough to handle, use a fork or your hands to shred and pull the meat apart.
5.
Return the meat to the crock pot along with the barbeque sauce. Heat for 30 minutes.
6.
Assemble the sandwich on a roll by piling with shredded pork. Top with more BBQ sauce and serve immediately.
