Soft Cheese Gateau with Tropical Fruit

- 1 ¾ cups low-fat cream cheese
- ⅜ cup cream (30 % fat)
- 0.333 cup butter (melted)
- 3 eggs
- ½ cup sugar
- 1 Tbsp Vanilla sugar
- 1 ½ Tbsps Corn starch
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 tsps Baking powder
- ¼ cup Semolina
- 2 Passion fruit
- powdered sugar (for dusting)

Separate the eggs. Beat the egg whites with the sugar until stiff.
Whip the cream until stiff. Mix the cream cheese smoothly with the butter and stir in the semolina, cornflour and vanilla extract.
Halve the passion fruits, scrape out the flesh and fold into the mixture with the cream and beaten egg whites.
Turn the mixture into a greased springform pan and bake in an oven preheated to 180°C (160° fan) | 350F | gas 4 for 50-60 minutes.
Leave to cool slightly before releasing from the springform pan. Serve dusted with icing sugar.
