Soft Cheese Gateau Ring
Preheat the oven to 170°C (150°C fan) | 325F | gas 3. Grease a 18 cm | 7” kugelhopf pan with a little cooking spray.
Combine the butter, sour cream, sugar, flour, eggs, Mascarpone and vanilla extract in a large mixing bowl. Beat for 1-2 minutes using an electric mixer until smooth.
Spoon into the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes until a cake tester comes out clean from the centre of the cake.
Remove and allow the cake to cool in its tin for 10 minutes.
Carefully turn the cake out onto a wire rack after 10 minutes to let it cool further. Present on a cake stand before serving.
