Ingredients
for
6
- Ingredients
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 kilogram waxy potatoes
- 60 grams ham
- 300 milliliters Whipped cream
- 100 grams grated Cheese (suchas, Gruyère, Emmentaler)
- 2 Tbsps finely chopped thyme
- 50 grams Crème fraiche
- salt
- Nutmeg
- freshly ground peppers
Preparation steps
1.
Preheat the oven to 200°C (approximately 400ºF).
2.
Grease ovenproof ramekins of about 10 cm diameter (approximately 4 inches).
Peel and finely dice the garlic cloves and scatter over the bottom of the ramekins.
Rinse and peel the potatoes and cut into very thin slices. Layer them uniformly in the ramekins.
Cut the ham into cubes or strips. Combine with the cream, the cheese, the thyme and the crème frâiche and mix well. Season with salt, pepper and nutmeg and spoon over the potatoes.
Bake for about 20 minutes, cover with parchment paper and bake for another 10-15 minutes.
Remove from the oven, tip out of the ramekins (possibly loosening the edge with a sharp knife) and serve garnished, as desired, with fresh lettuce.
