- 28 ozs shrimp
- 3 cloves garlic cloves
- 2 sprigs cilantro
- 1 chili pepper (seeds removed)
- ½ tsp salt
- freshly ground Black pepper
- 1 egg (beaten)
- 2 cups vegetable oil
- 1 jar spicy Sweet and sour sauce

Preparation steps
1.
Peel the shrimps and remove the heads. Remove the intestinal vein and chop the shrimp meat very finely.
2.
Crush the garlic, chili and coriander in a mortar with salt and pepper. Add the shrimp meat and work to a paste.
3.
Add the egg and mix well. Form the mixture into approximately 5 cm|2" patties, using 2 tablespoons of the mixture for each one.
4.
Heat the oil in a deep pan and fry the shrimp cakes for about 2 minutes, until golden brown. Drain on kitchen paper. Serve with the spicy sweet and sour sauce.
