Preparation steps

Rinse the tomatoes, cut out the stalks and cut into four approximately 1 cm (approximately 1/2 inch) thick slices. Rinse the lemon in hot water, pat dry, grate the zest into a bowl and squeeze the juice. Rinse the chives and cut into small rings. Mix the cream cheese with the lemon juice and chives. Season with salt and pepper.

Cook the tomato slices in 2 tablespoons of oil on each side for about 1 minute. Remove from pan and let cool briefly. Place on four small plates and season with some salt and pepper. Place 2 small spoonfuls of the cream cheese mixture and put on the tomatoes. Sprinkle with lemon zest and drizzle on the remaining oil and the vinegar. Serve garnished with basil leaves and the flowers.
