400 grams starchy potatoes

250 grams lukewarm milk
40 grams room temperature butter

8 slices Bacon
1 Apple (such as Belle de Boskoop)
1 Tbsp lemon juice
20 grams melted butter

Preparation steps

1.

Peel and rinse celery root and potatoes and cook 25 minutes in boiling salted water. Drain, let evaporate moisture evaporate and mash. Stir in the milk and room temperature butter and mash into a smooth puree. Season with salt, pepper and nutmeg. Fry the bacon in a pan until crispy.

2.

Rinse the apple, cut into quarters, remove seeds and cut into thin slices. Immediately sprinkle with lemon juice and sauté in a pan with the melted butter. Transfer the puree to a warm platter and serve garnished with apple and bacon.
