Preparation steps

Soak bread in lukewarm water. Peel onion and chop finely. Combine onion, squeezed bread and ground meat. Add mustard and egg, season with salt and pepper. With moistened hands, make small balls and coat with breadcrumbs. Heat butter in a pan and cook meatballs, few at a time, for about 10 minutes or until golden brown on all sides.

Cook pasta in plenty of boiling salted water until al dente and drain. Rinse broccoli, divide into florets and blanch in slightly salted boiling water for about 4 minutes. Drain and combine with pasta. Add butter and season with salt and pepper. Arrange pasta and broccoli on plates and top with meatballs. Serve.
