Ingredients
- For the dough
- 250 grams Pastry flour
- 20 grams fresh Yeast
- ⅛ l water
- 4 Tbsps olive oil
- salt
- For covering
- 4 Tbsps olive oil
- 250 grams Diced tomatoes (from a can)
- 1 garlic clove (pressed)
- 1 Tbsp dried oregano
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp sugar
- freshly ground peppers
- Bell pepper (The 1/2 green and red)
- 1 onion
- 16 Olives
- 80 grams Chorizo
- 200 grams aged Gouda
Preparation steps
Place the flour into a bowl and make a well in the center. Crumble the yeast in a little water, pour into the well, knead with flour and allow to stand for 15 minutes. Gradually add water with salt and oil and knead until mixture becomes a smooth dough. Cover and let stand 1 hour in a warm place. For the topping, heat the olive oil, sauté the tomatoes, then add the garlic, oregano, salt, sugar and pepper and simmer for about 30 minutes over low heat. Grease a baking sheet. Roll the dough into 2 flat rounds, shaping the edges up slightly and spoon the tomatoes on top. Trim, rinse and cut the peppers into strips. Peel the onion and cut into thin rings. Cut the chorizo sausage and cheese into slices. Arrange the peppers, onions, olives, sausage and pepper slices evenly on the dough.
Bake in an oven preheated to 220°C (approximately 400°F) about 20 minutes. Remove from oven, slice and serve.
