- 2 carrots
- 1 cup Celery root
- 2 potatoes
- 2 Leeks
- 2 Celery
- 4 Savoy cabbage
- 1 onion
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 cloves
- 1 Tbsp butter
- ½ cup Barley
- 8 cups Beef broth
- salt
- freshly ground Black pepper
- ¾ cup smoked, raw Bacon
- 2 cups smoked Pork
- 1 ⅓ cups smoked Beef
- strips Savoy cabbage (to garnish)

Preparation steps
1.
Peel the carrots, celery root and potatoes and finely chop. Wash and trim the celery and savoy cabbage leaves and finely slice. Peel the onion and push the clove and bay leaf into the onion.
2.
Heat the butter in a large sauce pot. Fry the vegetables in the butter, add the barley and saute. Pour in the beef broth and season with salt and pepper. Add the onion, bacon, pork and beef, cover and simmer for about 2 hours.
3.
Take the meat, bacon and onion out of the pot and cut into bite-size pieces. Put in the soup. Season to taste and serve garnished with strips of savoy cabbage.
