1 garlic clove (peeled)

Preparation steps

Cook the farfalle in salted water until tender.

Meanwhile, heat the oil in a frying pan. Sauté the onion until soft. Add the tomatoes and garlic and cook to a boil. Reduce the heat, cover, and simmer over low heat for 5-6 minutes, stirring occasionally. Season with salt, sugar, pepper, and nutmeg. Remove the garlic clove.

Drain the noodles, transfer to the plates. Spoon 3-4 tablespoon of the sauce over the pasta. Garnish with basil leaves and serve immediately.
