Nutritional values
Beta-glucan from the oat flakes is able to positively influence the cholesterol level. The EFSA (European Food and Safety Authority) also sees this effect and approves a health claim for the cereal: ...
Oat beta-glucan lowers / reduces the cholesterol level in the blood. Lowering blood cholesterol levels can reduce the risk of coronary heart disease.
As a topping for the oatmeal pancakes you can also use fruit instead of maple syrup. These bring natural sweetness and an extra portion of vitamins for a strong immune system. Try a homemade apple compote.

Ingredients
- Ingredients
- 100 grams whole-grain Oats
- 100 grams Pastry flour
- 1 pinch salt
- 3 eggs
- 200 milliliters milk (low-fat)
- 2 tsps clarified butter
- 4 Tbsps Maple syrup (for serving)
Preparation steps
Mix the oatmeal, flour and salt. Whisk the eggs and milk, and allow the mixture to rest and swell for 30 minutes.
In a nonstick skillet, heat the butter, and pour in your desired size pancake. Cook on both sides. The finished pancakes should be kept in the oven at 80°C (approximately 180°F) to keep them warm.
For serving: Stack the warm pancakes on a plate and cover with maple syrup. Enjoy.
