Nutritional values

Beta-glucan from the oat flakes is able to positively influence the cholesterol level. The EFSA (European Food and Safety Authority) also sees this effect and approves a health claim for the cereal: ...
Oat beta-glucan lowers / reduces the cholesterol level in the blood. Lowering blood cholesterol levels can reduce the risk of coronary heart disease.

As a topping for the oatmeal pancakes you can also use fruit instead of maple syrup. These bring natural sweetness and an extra portion of vitamins for a strong immune system. Try a homemade apple compote.
