600 grams Red onions

2 tsps freshly chopped thyme
2 Tbsps chopped parsley
100 grams breadcrumbs

Preparation steps

1.

Peel onions, cut into thin slices and arrange in a greased ovenproof dish, season with salt and pepper. Add 4 tablespoons of water. Cover dish with aluminum foil and bake in preheated oven at 200°C (approximately 400°F) for about 15 minutes. 

2.

Whisk remaining butter with breadcrumbs and chopped herbs and knead. Remove aluminum foil from the dish and spread flavored butter over onions. Bake until golden brown. Serve.
