Preparation steps

Thaw puff pastry dough on a floured work surface. Preheat the oven to 200°C (approximately 400°F). Meanwhile peel and slice the onions, then slice the goat cheese log. Beat the eggs with the crème fraîche, heavy cream and nutmeg. Season with salt and pepper.

Roll out the puff pastry onto a parchment paper-lined baking sheet. Gently press the dough around the edges to form a border. Spread the egg mixture on the bottom, then arrange the onion and goat cheese rings on top. Bake for about 30-35 minutes until golden brown. Remove from oven and let cool slightly. Serve at room temperature.
