5 ½ cups
minced mixed Meat
breadcrumbs (as required)
clarified butter (for frying)

Preparation steps

Soften the roll in a little lukewarm water. Sweat the onion in hot butter until translucent. Mix the onion, well-squeezed roll, eggs, ketchup, mustard and herbs through the minced meat. Knead in breadcrumbs as required, until the mixture holds its shape well. Season well with salt and ground black pepper.

Form the mixture into 8-12 meatballs and fry on both sides in hot clarified butter for 3-4 minutes until golden brown. Serve warm or cold, with potato salad if desired.
