For the meatballs
1 slice Bread (day old)
3 Tbsps cream
1 onion (peeled and finely chopped)
1 Tbsp olive oil
3.333 cups ground Beef
1 egg
2 Tbsps chopped, fresh parsley
lemon zest
salt

For the tomato sauce
2 shallots (peeled and finely chopped)
1 garlic clove (peeled and finely chopped)
2 cups chopped Tomatoes (chopped)
2 red chili peppers (deseeded and chopped)
1 Tbsp Tomato paste
4 Tbsps olive oil
cup Red wine
salt
freshly ground peppers
sugar
Chervil (for garnish)

1 Pot mit Deckel, 1 Cutting board, 2 Knives (1 großes, 1 kleines), 1 Coarse grater, 2 Bowls, 1 Tablespoon, 1 Fork, 1 Potato ricer, 1 Non-stick pan, 1 Slotted spatula, 1 Paper towel

Preparation steps

1.
Soften the bread in the cream and pull apart.
2.
Saute the chopped onion in the hot oil.
3.
Put the ground beef, egg, parsley, softened bread, cooked onion and lemon zest in a bowl. Season with salt and pepper. Mix well by kneading. Form the mixture into small balls.

For the tomato sauce saute the chopped chillies, garlic and onions until transparent.
5.
Stir in the tomato paste and deglaze with the red wine. Bring to a simmer.
6.
Add the tomatoes and continue simmering for approximately 20 minutes. Stir occasionally.
7.
Season with salt and pepper to taste.
8.
Add the meat balls and cover the pan. Allow to steam gently for approximately 10 minutes.
9.
Garnish with the chervil and serve.
