For the potatoes
750 grams waxy potatoes (cooked)
1 tsp Caraway
150 grams streaky Bacon
clarified butter (for frying)
1 bunch scallions
For the meatballs
300 grams Ground beef
1 egg
1 onion
1 garlic clove
½ tsp Mustard
1 pinch marjoram
2 Tbsps breadcrumbs
salt
freshly ground peppers

Preparation steps

1.

For the meatballs, place ground beef in a bowl. Peel onion and garlic and chop finely. Mix into ground beef with egg, mustard, marjoram, breadcrumbs, and season with salt and pepper. Form the mixture into small balls.

Heat enough clarified butter in a pan that the balls to nearly submerge meatballs and fry for about 7 minutes. Remove with slotted spoon and set aside, keeping warm.

Peel potatoes and cut into slices. Dice bacon finely. Heat a little butter and cook bacon in it. Add potatoes and fry until crispy on all sides.

4.

Meanwhile, cut scallions diagonally into slices and add to frying pan for the last 2 minutes. Mix meatballs with potato mixture and season to taste again with salt and pepper. Serve on plates.
