Ingredients
- For the meatballs
- 500 grams Ground beef
- 1 pc ginger (about 2 cm)
- 1 scallion
- 1 garlic clove
- 2 eggs
- 6 Tbsps breadcrumbs
- ½ tsp Chili powder
- ½ tsp Cumin
- ½ tsp ground cilantro

- For the peppers
- 1 onion
- 1 red paprika
- 1 yellow paprika
- 1 garlic clove
- 3 Tbsps sesame oil
- 2 Tbsps soy sauce
- 4 Tbsps Sweet chili sauce
- 1 Tbsp Rice vinegar
- 1 Tbsp honey

Preparation steps
Preheat the oven to 180°C (approximately 350°F).
Step 1: Peel the ginger and 1 clove of garlic and chop. Rinse, trim and finely chop the scallion.
Step 2: Mix the ground meat with eggs, breadcrumbs, spices, chopped scallion, ginger and garlic.
Step 3: Season to taste with salt and pepper and form into small meatballs.
Step 4: Place the meatballs on a baking sheet with parchment paper and cook for about 15 minutes at 180°C (approximately 350°F).
Step 5: Rinse peppers, trim, cut in half, remove seeds, remove the ribs and cut into thin strips.
Step 6: Peel, halve and thinly slice the onion. Peel and thinly slice the garlic clove.
Step 7: Heat the oil in a pan and add the garlic.
Step 8: Sauté peppers and onion in the pan and season with salt, pepper and soy sauce.
Step 9: Deglaze the vegetables with rice vinegar and broth, add sweet chili sauce and honey to the peppers.
Step 10: Spread the vegetables on a pre-warmed plate and place the finished meatballs over the vegetables. Garnish to taste with fresh cilantro.
