- 800 grams starchy potatoes
- salt
- 40 grams butter
- Nutmeg
- 250 milk
- 3 garlic cloves
- 3 Tbsps olive oil
- ½ tsp freshly chopped parsley

Preparation steps

Peel the potatoes, rinse and cut into pieces. Bring a pan of salted water to a boil. Place the potato pieces into it and simmer for 15-20 minutes, depending on the size of the potato pieces. Drain and let cool slightly, and mash with a potato masher. Add the diced butter and season with salt and nutmeg. Stir with a wooden spoon or whisk until butter is completely melted. Heat the milk and stir into the potatoes until creamy. Peel 1 clove of garlic, press and stir into the potatoes.

Cut the remaining garlic cloves in half and sear the cut surfaces in a skillet in hot oil. Reduce the heat and saute 2-3 minutes.

Serve the potatoes in a serving bowl and drizzle with the garlic oil. Sprinkle with parsley and serve.
