- 8 slices cooked ham
- 300 milliliters Whipped cream
- 5 eggs
- salt
- freshly ground peppers
- Nutmeg
- Fat (for the baking dish)
- 150 grams grated Cheese (such as Gouda, Emmentaler)

Preparation steps
1.
Rinse the leeks, shake dry, trim and cut the white and light green parts lengthwise in half. Wrap each with a slice of boiled ham. Cut remaining tender leek greens into strips.

Whisk cream with the eggs and season with salt, pepper and nutmeg.

Place the wrapped leeks in a greased baking dish, sprinkle with the leek greens and pour the egg mixture over the top. The leeks should be nearly covered (about 3/4) with egg mixture. Sprinkle with cheese and bake in preheated oven 25-30 minutes. Serve from the baking dish.
