2 garlic cloves
1 onion
500 grams Ground lamb
3 Tbsps olive oil
1 tsp ground paprika (sweet)
½ tsp ground paprika (hot)
salt
freshly ground peppers (Dri)
4 thin Pita bread
½ Iceberg lettuce
3 Tomatoes
¼ Cucumber
8 sprigs parsley
4 Tbsps Natural yogurt

Preparation steps

1.

Peel garlic and onion, dice finely and combine with ground lamb. Add 1 tablespoon of olive oil, 1 tablespoon of water, season with paprika, salt and pepper, mix well. Shape into meatballs about 6 cm in diameter (approximately 2/12 inch). Heat 2-3 tablespoons of oil in a pan and cook meatballs for about 10 minutes on all sides.

Heat pita bread in a hot pan on both sides and cut open.

Separate lettuce leaves, rinse adn spin dry. Rinse and dry tomatoes, remove stalks and cut into thin slices. Rinse parsley and shake dry. Rinse cucumber and cut into thin slices. Brush meatballs with yogurt. Stuff pitas with lettuce, tomato and cucumber slices, meatballs and parsley. Drizzle with yogurt and serve with mint tea, if desired.
