½ tsp white wine vinegar
1 cup caster sugar
For the clowns
4 scoops Ice cream
4 Ice cream cone
colored Chocolate bean
red, white, and green Sweets
white piping icing

1 Bowl, 1 Measuring cups, 1 Cutting board, 1 Large knife, 1 Small knife, 1 Tablespoon, 1 Wooden spoon, 1 Peeler, 1 Mortar, 1 Plastic wrap, 1 Skillet

Preparation steps

For the meringues: heat the oven to 150°C (130° fan) 300°F gas 2. Line a baking tray with non-stick baking paper.

In a clean bowl, whisk the egg whites with an electric whisk until beginning to form peaks. Add the vinegar and continue to whisk.

Add the sugar, a little at a time, whisking constantly, until all the sugar has been used and the mixture is stiff and glossy.

Spoon out 4 spoonfuls of the meringue mixture at widely spaced intervals on the paper. Hollow out the centres to form a 'nest'. Bake for at least 2 hours until crisp and dry. Cool on a wire rack.
5.
Place a scoop of ice cream in each cone and place upside down on the meringue nests. Make 'faces' with chocolate beans.
6.
Decorate the cones with the sweets and swirls of piping icing.
