1 ½ tsps Chili powder
¼ tsp ground Turmeric
1 tsp ground cilantro
1 tsp Garam Masala
1 tsp fresh ginger (grated)
1 clove garlic cloves (pressed)
1 Tbsp lemon juice
1 tsp salt
1 Tbsp olive oil
fresh cilantro (to garnish)
Naan (Flatbreat) to serve

Preparation steps

1.
Rinse the chicken quarters under cold running water and pat dry with paper towels. Make several slits in the flesh of each chicken quarter, place in a bowl and set aside.

Mix the yogurt, chili powder, turmeric, coriander, garam masala, ginger root, garlic, lemon juice, salt, and olive oil together. Whisk until all the ingredients are thoroughly combined.

Spoon the marinade mixture over the chicken, mix well, cover and marinate in the refrigerator for 3 hours.

Prepare grill for indirect grilling over medium heat. Grill the chicken for about 4 minutes on each side, over a gas flame or hot coals, or until seared and golden brown. Move chicken to the opposite side of the grill, cover and cook under indirect heat for 30 to 40 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and juices run clear.
5.
Transfer cooked chicken to serving dish and garnish with fresh cilantro. Serve with naan (flatbread).
