- 300 grams smoked fat Bacon
- 250 grams wide Pasta (such as Lebbencs or Fleckerl)
- 1 large onion
- 800 grams potatoes
- 3 ripe Tomatoes
- 1 Tbsp ground paprika (sweet)
- paprika (hot, to taste)
- salt
- peppers

Preparation steps

Cut the bacon into small cubes and fry in a large pot. Peel the potatoes and cut into wedges. Peel the onion and dice finely. Add potatoes and onion to the pot. Pour in water until the potatoes are completely covered, season with a little salt and cook until the potatoes are al dente, about 20 minutes.

Add the pasta and continue to cook. Optionally, add some more water. Blanch tomatoes in boiling water, peel, halve, remove seeds and cut into cubes. Stir tomatoes into the pot 2-3 minutes before end of potato cooking time along with the sweet paprika. Season with salt, pepper and hot paprika. Serve hot.
