200 milliliters milk
150 milliliters warm water
vegetable oil (for frying)
vegetable oil (for hands)

Preparation steps

1.

Place the flour in a bowl and make a well in the center. Pour 50 ml (approximately 3 1/2 tablespoons) of lukewarm milk into the well. Crumble the yeast and add it to the well. Mix until well combined, cover and let stand 30 minutes. Add the remaining warm milk, the warm water and salt and knead to a smooth dough. Cover and let rest another 30 minutes.

2.

Lightly oil your hands, tear off small pieces of the dough and shape into 15-20 cm (approximately 6-7-inch) in diameter flat cakes. Heat the oil in a skillet and saute the cakes 1-2 minutes per side until golden brown. Drain on paper towels and serve topped with sour cream, cheese, or your favorite toppings.
