1 Tbsp olive oil

200 grams Italian Capicola (or prosciutto)

Preparation steps

For the dough, mix yeast with sugar and warm water. Stir together the flour and salt. Add yeast solution and olive oil and knead. Let dough rise in a warm place until doubled in volume, 1 to 2 hours. Knead the dough again, roll out thinly and cut into squares.

For frying, pour olive oil in a pan half a finger high and heat over medium heat. Fry garlic and rosemary until golden brown, remove and discard. Fry dough pieces over low heat on both sides in the herb oil until golden brown and puffed up into airy pillows, 5-7 minutes. Drain on paper towels. Serve garnished with salami and coppa ham.
