- ¾ cup Wheat bran
- 1 cup milk
- ⅜ cup vegetable oil
- 2 eggs (beaten)
- ½ cup brown sugar
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup plain flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp Baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup raisins

Preparation steps
1.
Heat the oven to 190C (170C fan) 375F, gas 5. Put 12 paper muffin cases into a muffin tin.
2.
Mix the bran with the milk and set aside.
3.
Beat together the oil, eggs, sugar and vanilla until creamy.
4.
Sift the flour, bicarbonate of soda, baking powder and salt and fold in to the egg mixture.
5.
Mix in the raisins and spoon the mixture into the paper cases.
6.
Bake for about 20 minutes or until golden brown and firm to the touch.
7.
Cool on a wire rack.
