Preparation steps

Heat the oven to 200°C (180° fan) 400°F gas 6. Butter a large baking dish.

for the filling: cut the apples into thick slices. Stir in the sultanas, orange juice, sugar and spices, mixing well. Place the mixture in the baking dish.

For the crumble: put the flour in a mixing bowl. Rub the butter into the flour until the mixture resembles fine breadcrumbs, and then stir in the sugar and spice.
4.
Sprinkle evenly over the fruit and scatter over the almonds. Bake for about 30 minutes until golden brown.
