8 Tea bag
4 cups boiling water
¾ cup sugar
1 cup water
1 ounce Basil (plus extra to serve)
16 ounces Strawberries (quartered)

Preparation steps

1.
Steep the tea bags in the boiling water, covered, for 5-8 minutes.
2.
Heat the sugar and water in a pan over a low heat until the sugar has dissolved. Bring to a boil, stirring, then remove from heat, add the basil and steep for 10 minutes.
3.
Put the strawberries in a bowl and strain the syrup over, discarding the basil. Mix gently and leave to stand for 30 minutes.
4.
Add the tea to the strawberries and add a few basil leaves. Cover and chill until ready to serve.
