Preparation steps

1.
Peel, core and chop the apples and put them in a pan with the water. Bring to a boil and simmer for 4 minutes. Add the blackberries and simmer for a further 3 minutes.
2.
Remove from the heat and stir in the sugar until dissolved. Taste the fruit and add a little more sugar if it is too tart, depending on the ripeness of the fruit.
3.
Mash the fruit, then press through a sieve to remove the seeds. Set aside to cool.
4.
Pour into lolly moulds and freeze overnight.
