Preparation steps

1.
Combine 110 ml|1/2 cup of water and the sugar in a pan. Heat just until the sugar dissolves, then set aside to cool.

Add the remaining water and 50 ml|1/4 cup of the sugar syrup to the lemon juice. Add more water or sugar syrup to taste. Once frozen, the lemonade will taste less sweet than it does at room temperature.
3.
Pour the lemonade into a shallow freezerproof container. Cover and freeze for 2-4 hours, until partly frozen, stirring with a fork every hour to break up the big ice crystals. Freeze overnight.
4.
Scrape the tines of a fork across the surface of the frozen lemonade and scoop into glasses. Decorate with lemon slices and serve immediately.
