- 1 tsp Curry powder
- 1 generous pinch Cumin (ground)

- 400 grams

Preparation steps
1.
Mix 175 grams (approximately 6 ounces) of flour with 1 teaspoon salt, chile powder, curry, cumin, 1 tablespoon oil and 250 ml (approximately 1 cup) water into a smooth dough. Let rest for about 10 minutes.

Meanwhile, rinse beets and parsnips. Cut into bite-sized pieces or columns. Cook in salted boiling water for about 5 minutes. Remove and pat dry. Coat in remaining flour, dip into batter and fry until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes, in hot oil at 170°C (approximately 325°F). Drain on paper towels and serve.

Serve with yogurt if desired.
