500 grams fresh Figs
½ Apple
1 small onion
50 grams golden raisin
200 milliliters White vinegar
125 grams brown sugar
½ tsp cinnamon
1 generous pinch cloves
1 pinch Nutmeg
a few peppercorns
a few Coriander
1 tsp freshly grated ginger
1 small Peperoncino
1 pinch salt

Preparation steps

Rinse the figs and cut into sixths. Peel the apple, remove the seeds, and finely dice. Peel and julienne the onion. Bring the sugar and the vinegar to a boil in a pan. Add the remaining ingredients to the pan. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat. Simmer the mixture for 45 minutes, stirring occasionally. Place the chutney into prepared jars, seal tightly, and cool completely.

The chutney goes well served with goat cheese.
