2 cups fresh Broad bean (shelled)
1 cup Parmesan (grated)
1 ½ cups plain flour (sifted)
salt
Black pepper
1 ½ cups milk
4 eggs (beaten)
Basil (to garnish)

Preparation steps

1.
Pre-heat the oven to 170 degrees. Place the flour in a large mixing bowl.
2.
In a large jug, whisk together the eggs, milk and salt and pepper.
3.
Whisk the wet ingredients into the flour slowly, making sure there are no lumps. Fold in the grated Parmesan.
4.
In an ovenproof baking dish, arrange the broad beans and season well. Pour over the Parmesan batter and bake in the oven for 45 minutes until golden and set.
5.
Remove from the oven and allow to cool a little before cutting into square portions and serving.
