- For the bread dumplings
- 500 grams bread dumpling
- 150 milliliters milk
- 250 grams Porcini mushroom
- 1 shallot
- 2 Tbsps butter
- 2 Tbsps freshly chopped parsley
- 40 grams freshly grated Parmesan
- salt
- freshly ground peppers
- 2 eggs
- breadcrumbs (if necessary)
Preparation steps
1.
Place bread into a large bowl. Boil milk and pour over bread. Soak about 15 minutes.

Meanwhile, rinse mushrooms and chop. Peel shallot and finely chop. Saute with mushrooms in hot butter in a pan for 1-2 minutes. Remove from heat and mix in parsley. Add to bread. Sprinkle with Parmesan and season with salt and pepper. Beat eggs and add to mixture. Knead well with hands. Add breadcrumbs if mixture is too moist.

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.

Use moist hands to shape mixture into dumplings. Add to boiling water and cook for 20-25 minutes.
5.
Remove dumplings using a slotted spoon. Drain and serve.
