- 30 grams salt
- 3 Dill
- ½ tsp peppercorns
- ¾ l White vinegar
- ¾ l water
- 1 tsp salt
- 100 grams sugar
- ½ packet Preservatives (if necessary)

Preparation steps

Rinse the gherkins. Prick several times with a needle and place in a bowl. Sprinkle with 30 grams (approximately1 1/2 tablespoons) of salt. Let stand for 24 hours.

Drain the salt water. Rinse the gherkins again and pat dry. Distribute evenly into the jars.Place the dill and peppercorns into prepared glasses. Bring the vinegar to a boil with the water, salt, and sugar. Stir in the preservatives if desired. Pour the liquid into the jars. Close the jars tightly and store in a cool and dark area.
