¾ cup unsalted butter
¾ cup light brown sugar
4 Tbsps light corn syrup
1 unwaxed Orange (finely grated zest)
3 ¼ cups rolled oats
1 cup dried Figs (chopped)
1 cup dried Cranberry

Preparation steps

1.
Heat the oven to 180C (160C fan) 350F, gas 4. Grease a 23cm|9" square tin.
2.
Melt the butter in a large pan and stir in the sugar and golden syrup. Heat gently until the sugar has dissolved.
3.
Remove from the heat and stir in the orange zest, oats, figs and cranberries.
4.
Put into the tin and bake for about 30-40 minutes until golden. The mixture will firm as it cools. Cool in the tin, then cut into squares.
