3 cups medium, raw shrimp (peeled, deveined with shells reserved)
1 Jalapeño (pepper)
1 Tbsp paprika
¼ tsp ground Red pepper
7 cups Chicken broth
1 Lemon twist
1 lime twist
2 cups canned Straw mushroom (drained)
2 Tbsps lemon juice
2 Tbsps Lime juice
2 Tbsps reduced-sodium soy sauce
1 fresh, red Thai chili (cut into strips)
¼ cup fresh cilantro

1 Sieve, 1 Cutting board, 1 Small knife, 1 Pot mit Deckel, 1 Measuring cups, 1 Wooden spoon, 1 Small bowl, 1 Tablespoon

Preparation steps

Heat wok over medium-high heat 1 minute or until hot. Add oil to wok. Add shrimp and jalapeño pepper slices and stir-fry 1 minute. Add paprika and ground red pepper. Stir-fry 1 minute more or until shrimp turn pink and opaque. Remove shrimp mixture to bowl; set aside.

Add shrimp shells to wok and stir-fry 30 seconds. Add chicken broth and lemon and lime peels; bring to a boil. Cover; reduce heat to low. Simmer 15 minutes.

Remove shells and peels from broth with slotted spoon; discard. Add mushrooms and shrimp mixture to broth; bring to a boil. Stir in lemon and lime juices, soy sauce and red chili pepper. Simmer 5 minutes. Ladle soup into bowls. Top with cilantro and lime wedges. Serve.
