- ¾ cup unsalted butter
- ⅓ cup caster sugar (plus extra for sprinkling)
- 1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
- 2 Tbsps cocoa powder

Preparation steps
1.
Beat the butter and sugar in a mixing bowl until soft and creamy.
2.
Stir in the flour and cocoa and mix to a dough. Halve the dough and roll each piece into a log about 5cm|2" thick. Wrap in cling film and chill for 1 hour.
3.
Heat the oven to 180°C (160° fan) 350°F gas 4. Line a large baking tray with non-stick baking paper.
4.
Slice the logs into 1cm|1/4" thick rounds and place on the baking tray. Sprinkle with caster sugar.
5.
Bake for 10-12 minutes until cooked through. Cool on the tray.
