1 chicken (ready to cook, 1.2 kg)

2 Tbsps vegetable oil
1 onion
350 grams Chestnuts
150 milliliters dry white wine
300 milliliters Chicken broth
2 Tbsps freshly chopped parsley

Preparation steps

1.

Rinse chicken, pat dry and cut into 8 pieces. Season with salt and pepper and cook until brown in a pan in 1 tablespoon oil.

Meanwhile, peel onion and chop finely. Chop chestnuts coarsely. Remove chicken from pan and saute onions until golden brown in remaining oil with chestnuts. Deglaze with wine and a little broth. Season with salt and pepper, cover and cook for about 25 minutes. Stir occasionally, adding broth as needed.

Serve chicken with sauce and sprinkled with parsley.

Serve with couscous if desired.
