1 kilogram Cherries
70 grams breadcrumbs
150 grams butter
180 grams sugar
4 eggs
100 grams Pastry flour
½ packet Baking powder
120 grams breadcrumbs
1 packet Vanilla sugar
2 tsps grated Lemon peel
powdered sugar (for dusting)

Preparation steps

Rinse and pit the cherries. Mix with the 70 grams of breadcrumbs and set aside. Cream the butter and sugar until light and airy, Add the eggs one at a time. Mix together the flour, baking powder, 120 grams of breadcrumbs, vanilla sugar and lemon zest. Stir into the batter.

Grease and flour the springform pan. Evenly spread half of the batter into the pan. Sprinkle with cherries and cover with the remaining batter. Bake in a preheated oven (C fan oven 180°C) (approximately 350°F) for 60-70 minutes. Allow to cool and serve dusted with powdered sugar.
