125 grams butter
75 grams sugar
3 eggs
1 pinch salt
1 tsp Orange peel (organic)
250 grams Pastry flour
75 milliliters milk
500 grams Cherries

Preparation steps

Preheat oven to 180°C (approximately 350°F). Grease springform pan with butter and sprinkle with flour.

For the cake, mix butter at room temperature until foamy. Alternate adding sugar and eggs, stirring in between. Stir in salt and orange zest. Mix baking powder and flour together. Alternate adding flour mixture and milk, stirring in between, until batter is smooth and spreadable. Pour into springform pan and smooth. Rinse cherries, remove pits and sprinkle evenly over batter.

Bake in oven for about 50 minutes. Cake is done when toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Remove from oven, cool slightly, remove from pan and cut into pieces to serve.
