1 Crush the garlic, halve, and rub around the inside of the fondue pot.
2 Heat the wine in the fondue pot, add the cheese and stir continuously until a smooth cream is formed.
3 Mix the cornflour with the kirschwasser until smooth. Stir into the cheese mixture, allow to boil once and season with salt, nutmeg and the ground chilli flakes.
4 Place the pot on a burner on a low heat. Stir the spinach into the fondue, skewer the apple slices onto fondue forks and dip into the warm cheese mixture.
