- 1 garlic clove
- 2 cups dry white wine
- 3 ½ cups Cheddar cheese (grated)
- 3 ½ cups Gruyere (grated)
- 1 ½ Tbsps Corn starch
- ¼ cup sour cherry Brandy
- Nutmeg
- ¼ tsp crushed Red pepper flakes (ground)
- 4 cups Spinach (leaves finely chopped)
- 8 green Apple (e. g. Granny Smith, sliced)

Preparation steps
1.
Crush the garlic, halve, and rub around the inside of the fondue pot.
2.
Heat the wine in the fondue pot, add the cheese and stir continuously until a smooth cream is formed.
3.
Mix the cornflour with the kirschwasser until smooth. Stir into the cheese mixture, allow to boil once and season with salt, nutmeg and the ground chilli flakes.
4.
Place the pot on a burner on a low heat. Stir the spinach into the fondue, skewer the apple slices onto fondue forks and dip into the warm cheese mixture.
