2 Tomatoes
100 grams smoked Bacon (sliced)
salt
freshly ground peppers
Nutmeg
100 grams Emmentaler cheese (grated)
100 grams Whipped cream
butter (for the pan)

Preparation steps

1.

Divide cauliflower into florets.

2.

Bring salted water to a boil, add chopped lemon and cauliflower and cook for about 8 minutes. Drain through a sieve, rinse with cold water and drain again. (Lemon improves the flavor and color.)

3.

Rinse tomatoes and cut into eighths.

4.

Rinse bell pepper, trim, cut in half, remove seeds and ribs and cut into strips.

5.

Cut bacon into strips.

6.

Mix cream in a bowl with 1/3 of grated cheese and season with nutmeg, salt and pepper.

7.

Place cauliflower in a buttered baking dish, cover with bell peppers, tomatoes and bacon. Pour cream mixture over top and sprinkle with remaining cheese.

8.

Bake in a preheated 180°C (approximately 350°F) oven for approximately 25 minutes until cheese is melted and lightly browned. Serve immediately.
