2 small chicken about 800 grams (approximately 1 3/4 lb)
2 garlic cloves
2 Tbsps lemon juice
1 tsp Chili powder
½ tsp ground Cumin
1 Tbsp sweet ground paprika
1 tsp dried thyme
4 Tbsps olive oil

Preparation steps

1.

Rinse the chicken, pat dry and cut in half lengthwise. Peel garlic and chop finely. Mix lemon juice, chilli, cumin, paprika, thyme and olive oil and coat the chicken in mixture. Marinate 2 hours in the refrigerator.

Preheat the oven to 180°C (approximately 350°F).

Remove the chicken from the marinade and bake on a rack with the skin side up for about 35 minutes. Baste during cooking with marinade.

4.

Remove from the oven and serve with a fresh salad.
