Preparation steps

1.

Rinse and spin dry swiss chard, cut out hard stems and chop chard leaves. Grate 150 grams (approximately 3 1/2 ounces) of cheese and combine with eggs, add chard and flour, season with salt, pepper and nutmeg and knead to a dough. Using two tablespoons, make dumplings and roll on a floured work surface. Cook in boiling salted water until they float up to the surface.

2.

Remove dumplings from water, using a slotted spoon, and drain well. Spread half of cream in a casserole dish, arange dumplings on top and spread with remaining cream. Sprinkle with remaining cheese and bake in preheated oven at 200°C (approximately 350°F) for about 25-30 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from oven and serve immediately.
