Preparation steps

Brush 4 ovenproof ramekins with butter. Crack 2 eggs into each ramekin. Bake in preheated oven at 200°C (gas mark 3, fan oven 180°C) (approximately 400°F) until eggs are set, about 10 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. With a truffle slicer or vegetable peeler, shave truffle over eggs.
